The last time I visited my family in DC, we stopped at this bagel shop on the way back to the airport. All the guys working behind the counter had yarmulkes on. I was like, "I am amongst my people and this should be a good bagel."

You can put anything on a yarmulke but it has to be done in a certain way by certain people. If I were to sew it It wouldnt be kosher anymore
